Accessability EA Feedback from a Visually Impaired Person
Context
I am a legally blind gamer. PoE2 is not my first ARPG (been playing since D2 vanilla). I was also a Top 50 US WoW Guild leader (i.e. boss mechanics + coordination). I am also a retired SWE so am familiar with the demands/queue of software development. THANK YOU for reading this input. THANK YOU for making the game as accessible as it is already. What Works Bosses - Sound ques Map - Ability to use overlay map & adjust it - Ability to hide corner map UI - Ability to increase cursor size/invert Barriers Gameplay - Visual clarity can be a bit rough at times, i.e. cluttered screen + bloom effects etc - Not obvious via sound/more distinct visuals when low on health (e.g. 25%) - Loot on ground visual clarity (e.g. yellow vs. white, quality affixed, etc) UI - Combo points can be hard to read/notice - Health/Mana bars size/location above character can be hard to read in middle of a fight - Inability to adjust font family/size - Reading underlined text can be tricky (holding alt) when using a screen magnifier to try to read text (e.g. WIN + [plus]) Map - Can be hard to see the "player icon" in the overlay map (i.e. no radiating when opened, etc) - The distinction between a "grey" and "white" skull is not very distinct - Quest log being pinned to a side can be hard if you have poor per phial vision Last edited by gospelwut#7081 on Dec 22, 2024, 2:04:34 PM Last bumped on Dec 22, 2024, 11:58:34 AM
