Addressing mercenary klunk with reloading - theory and testing
Hey everyone I need some help testing something.
I have seen quite a few posts regarding mercenary and its "klunk" feeling when reloading and came across something interesting while testing to see if I experienced it. And yes I do experience it.. however it only happens in DELERIUM!! For some reason every time I run a delerium map my character sometimes has a longer reload animation, the time with this delay varies. I tested it in multiple scenarios... 1. In a delerium map in combat - happens some of the time 2. In a delerium map while not in combat and no enemies around - happens some of the time. 3. Ended the delerium encounter, remained in map with no enemies around - still happens some of the time. 4. ported back to hideout and tested it - happens NONE of the time. 5. returned to said map and tested it - happens some of the time. 6. ran a different map with no delerium encounter - happens NONE of the time. 7. ran another delerium map - problem re-occurs. Now i know this may not explains everyones problem with mercenary's "klunk" and it COULD be an issue with me only, but i would like someone else to test this for me and see if they have the same problem, at least to see If i am just going insane. I would also mention I checked the map modifiers also and each time there was nothing that would cause this, checked the state of my character and found no issue including making sure I had no debuffs that would cause this and found nothing. Again if anyone could confirm this for me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Last bumped on Dec 22, 2024, 11:03:52 AM

Further information:
Ran a map with both Ritual AND expedition active and ran into this issue again. I have discovered button mashing the fire button while moving sometimes causes the delay, however standing still while mashing the fire button does not cause it. Tested this in hideout and it happens but it is barely noticeable. So it could be related to league content but now im starting to think there is an input issue, too many inputs at once could be contributing to the klunk.. or all of the above. |

I am so happy that there are some other people here that are looking for stuff and suggesting things that could end up fixing the game instead of raging.
Thank you, kind merc player. |
