What Are People's Favorite Strategies For Farming Gear In Endgame?

Been struggling to find a replacement for my warrior's mace, and my monk's armor is in a sorry state after getting through the campaign, so I was curious what people's preferred strategies for getting equipment is in the Atlas, considering I never really got far into the end game whenever I played PoE1.

Trial of Sekhema seems fairly good for rares per time invested for my monk who deletes it quickly, but the invitations are limited so its an extra to break up the flow IMO.

The other two options seems to be Expedition (vendor currency to reset the NPC vendors for leveled gear, but seems to be a bit tedious for what might be a few inventories worth of random loot to purchase with each expedition) and Ritual (Omens for better crafting and one to two inventories worth of random gear to buy, although I've only seen one Omen in the rituals I've done, and haven't seen a Ritual tablet drop yet).

This is all on top of using blue maps of the tier these characters can handle and rares on boss maps, juicing up towers, etc. I was just curious what higher end strategies people use.

Really the only way to have get something good is farming exalts/divs and buying it on trade. I don't personally prefer it that way, but that's the game GGG has made.
