Trials of Sekhemas

So, just started doing the trials. However after like my 3rd attempt, had some guy join my game while attempting the trial. I made a town portal out, just to have it disappear not long after. Finally, I am unable to redo the trials, says it is still progressing. Also have the same guys character just chilling in the same spot, and can't interact with it in any way. Literally restarted game multiple times just to come back with dude sitting there and unable to do the trials in any way.

i am having this same issue. i dont have the relic anymore and cant get a new one from the lady
