Completed both level appropriate trials, no 3rd set of ascendant points

I have already completed the first sekhama trial and the first trial of chaos, when i did them a second time, a level 67 3 trial sekhema, and a 7 room trial of chaos it told me i completed them both times and the text said there were available ascendant points upon killing the last bosses.
Both the djinn barya coin and the ultimatum coin also told me that it would grant me points prior to using them i still could not use the altar to get my third set of ascendant points on either of the trials and being a warrior it is really holding me back in the gear department.
I dont understand why it is locking my out of using the altar, why not just get rid of the altar and give us the points upon completion like a normal level? It would really be less frustrating as there is no official guide on what to do.
