Unable to interact with map device after dying in hardcore

I recently died during a map in hardcore ssf mode and wanted to continue progressing in softcore ssf but I can't interact with the map device in my hideout or at the ziggurat. I've tried logging out and back in, changing servers multiple times, reentering the Gateway time travel portal in both Act 3 normal and Act 3 Cruel, and defeating the final bosses of Act 3 normal and Act 3 Cruel. Nothing has worked so far and I'm not interested in rolling a brand new character at this time.
