potential full game lock out for someone

im level 78 and progressing through endgame. my friend needed help with the sun god boss right before you go back in time in act three so i joined to help him. upon killing the boss he talked to the quest person and then i got locked out of the elevator by a forcefield with him inside. at first i thought it was just because my time portal had already activated so i TP back. when i went to the waypoint i had lost all of my waypoints in act 3 only. 1,2, and all chaos act waypoints were still there and i could travel to my hideout. So the next thing that i did was to try and go through the portal to the past to just run that part of act 3 and get the way points back, first time through, crashed in the loading screen. the second time through it transported me to the very beginning of act one. My game has completely locked me out of the past in act 3 and all act 3 past waypoints are gone. This doesn't effect me because im already in the end game but it does have the potential if someone hasnt finished act three and progressed to chaos one, to completely lock them out and halt their progression. i saved videos and pictures and will submit them if you request.
