Gore spike - is it working or not?

can someone please explain if Gore spike is working or not?

It contributes nothing to the crit dmg of my spells so Iam wondering if its just tooltip bug or it doesnt work at all.

With our own hit damage variance it's probably impossible to determine, unless you happen to have a skill with like 10 to 10 damage. So you can test changes on the very same mob.

Seeing my crit damage on mobs with just tree changes, with or without that ascendancy, to me means it's not working. Just as the very first forced downside-only ascendancy (just for reference; my comet already drains 487 life on top of 516 mana). Far off from being the BASE cost.
