Magic Find too good to be ignored?
Fellow Exiles,
I'm starting to feel like Magic Find is becoming a necessity, and I don't think I like that. Without it, drops are much less valuable, in my experience, and that's why I've come to the forums to see how other players are perceiving it. -- I honestly believe that this affix shouldn't become a requirement for enjoyable item finding, crafting and gameplay as a whole, but that's what it's become to me. -- Anyone else want to chime in, please? I try to have at least some on my gear at all times.
Drops tend to be rather poor, and during the campaign I exchange a piece of gear maybe once every 2 levels. Every bit helps. Zaanus:
Global chat: Mechanics for A work one way, B for another, C for a third but also with A, B uses C but not A, and D uses A&B but not C ___ Isn't a "no" better than an ignore? |

Item rarity has always been a thing i look for. my first character usually stacks that stat just because mf has always been solid. just switch out my gear if i cant tank some of the boss hits.

Its something you can afford to throw on jewelry early on for sure, but having a faster clear speed is always going to trump rarity, and what you want to focus on first.
If your build clears a waystones twice as slow as some one else, they effectively have +100% quantity over you, which has always been better than rarity. You would need well over 100% rarity to make up for that, as rarity isn't exactly what it seems in all cases, its not going to give you 2x better loot going from 0% to 100% that I can promise you, not even close. A lot of endgame farming strategies also require setting up your atlas with towers, setting up atlas nodes, and league mechanics and running maps with those on them. The faster you clear maps, get to those nodes, get through towers, interact with breaches, ritual altars, expeditions etc. is going to be vastly more important than rarity will ever be. theres a middle ground if youre a mf fanatic. have good mf, but kill speed off sets the numbers. so like he said lower mf but quicker kill speed. blah blah. i dont do the maths.
tyreals might or coa. good fukn luck. thousands of pindle runs. only saw 2 crown of ages. you can always gear swap before the kill too. thats an unnecessary step but it works. Smoother than Smooth. Last edited by Moist#6523 on Dec 20, 2024, 5:43:40 PM
