Atlas Questions

So....i understood that if you die...well you are fked (which is frustrating)
now i wonder: those map features (boss, breach etc.) they are gone too if you die, correct? (which is even more frustrating)

now my, partially hypothetical, questions:

are the nodes in the atlas, and therefore, special content (boss, breach, etc.) finite or infinite?

is it possible to add to a node a special content with currency or anything like this?

is anyone else frustrated because of how the atlas works? (death is very punishing...)
