Can we please get rid of one-shot after death effects?

It's super obnoxious. My Ranger has 2200 health and he can just get one-shotted by a little purple flower that popped out of a rare mob's corpse? This is not "engaging combat". It's just a really lame way to lose a map while I'm picking up loot.

Yea on death effects are the least fun mechanic in the history of gaming especially "loot based" games.

I am trying to see any Devs perspective on why any ARPG needs this? I guess their argument is "Danger" well there are fun ways to provide danger without unfun on death mechanics.

I will add an olive branch that the big Bloated log carrying mobs that slowly explode while standing there after you kill them is probably the cleanest "on death" effect that is the closes too what the Devs probably want.

Soon as you see that mob you understand and can counter and even freeze and explode them before they do their on death effect.

Although I have put up a frost wall and the explosion went through it somehow which I feel shouldn't happen.

TLDR - Anyways the Devs need to clean it up substantially and rethink "On Death" effects and remove about 70% of them. If they want very specific mobs to have unique on death effects I can clearly SEE and have TIME to counter I'm willing to try that.
