Using Flasks causes Frametime Spike + Wrong Sound effect on one char
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3Ml_iUSfYs
On my Summoner using Flasks causes a considerable framtime spike. Using any other flasks doesnt change it. This does not happen on other chars. Plus the sound is wrong on the summoner when using a flask, as if the flask gets equipped first before using it. This most likely causes the frametime spike. It happens on a nother PC too, so the issue isnt my PC and since it only happens on this char there might be something wrong with some flask using interactions. No MTX used. Using a different Renderer and reseting Shaders didnt do anything either. This issue drives me insane, everytime i use a flask i get a stutter.
I think my char might be bricked in some special way. |

i found the issue. its my helmed and chest armor lol
when i wear them and i press my flask, it kinda "requips" them, in some sense, animations of them flying in the wind reset and you get the "equip" sound. idk why but most other helmeds and chests i tested dont do that. those 2, especially the helm cause it to stutter without them equipped i can use flask without stuttering or wrong flask use sound. please look into it thank you. as esample, changing my helm to this fixes it too, the chest still causes it but in a way way way less noticeable stutter: Last edited by Artluxd#5219 on Dec 18, 2024, 10:36:33 PM

From what I've recently found its due to attribute requirements on gear being fulfilled by other gear with attributes that don't come from the tree, after a little testing and from another post on https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1hhopop/temporary_fix_for_fps_spikes_when_using_flasks/
I would believe it has something to do with it somehow as ive tried so many graphics combinations and settings, even driver reinstalls doing anything from changing gear equipping a gem using potion this occurs on and each time is lags due to this i hear the gem equip sound Last edited by cleanser#2568 on Dec 19, 2024, 4:18:31 AM

Yea that is the issue. That also explains why it gets solved/is way less noticeable with gear that has less int requirements.
A fix for this would be nice, since it makes wearing some pieces of gear impossible due to stutters even if they're an upgrade. |
