Characters missing after linking Sony to Steam.

Hey I linked my Sony account to my Steam account so I may play my Steam POE2 characters on PS5. Now when I sign into Steam all my characters are gone and I cant seem to find anything to see why. Would anyone be able to assist please.

I found the sub-menu at the top right of the screen to switch accounts.
