Does your controller vibrate then lag/drift? in POE2- (Not StickDrift)- Check your AV!
Greetings.
I am almost 100 hours in and this is my first post. Something I noticed when playing PoE2 specifically is after about an hour or two my Xbox Elite 2 controller would vibrate ( especially in menus moving inventory) then become nonresponsive, then would move on its own to the left or right ( whatever direction i was pressing before vibrate) This happened on Bluetooth, this happened on USBC Direct. Adjusted USB Bluetooth and Controller to "not turn off to save power" WIndows 11 24H2- Tried a different XBox One controller and it would also happen, so it was not the controller. When I went to my laptop i never noticed it happening. The difference? Desktop has Malwarebytes Premium Laptop dosen't. In the middle of one of the spaz sessions I disabled Malwarebytes and closed it. The problem stopped IMMEDIATELY. This is due to the programs live shields that monitor input settings for keylogger activity, it causes the input to lag out. I wanted to post this because it may not be POE2 Specific, but if you are struggling with it wondering why your controller is possessed- this is the reason. It may also be possible with other AVs ( I didn't have any issues with windows defender) I hope this helps others so they don't have to go to the lengths that I did to process of eliminate. Also crossing fingers that we can PLEASE use mouse/KB with a controller to manage inventory!
