Immediate monsters spawn after defeating Zalmarath the Colossus in PoE2

Is it fine that just after defeating this boss some monsters appeared and didnt let me loot my awards? I had low HP and they just killed me right after I sterted to explore my loot and didnt even have time to heal after the boss fight?
