Need help with Endgame (Beginner)

Hello, I just finished kitava, currently in endgame and I'm stuggling with obtaining currency like chos orbs, the reason is to start to actually build my character ( I reached a plateau in power ), I barely get passed 12k dps meanwhile the build I'm following has dps in MILLIONS... I want that. I played with PoB and I noticed the major difference between us is the equipment we use, I need an upgrade.

I'm trying to trade but I don't get any customers, youtube guides don't help either unfortunately so I was hoping to get tips from the people here.

Is this for POE 1 or 2?

Cant speak to POE2 economy, but if for POE1, heres some basic info.

First off, keep in mind that you are playing during a time when the league economy is very much dead. (league has been running for months, and POE2 EA just came out). This creates some issues for alot of currency strategies.

1. The first step in generating currency in POE us is to pick a strategy. Most players do not get the majority of their currency as raw drops. You are going to farm a easily sellable resource and trade that for currency.

With it being late league, there are fewer options, but still plenty of opportunity. A few things that sell for a good profit and quickly right now are:

-T17 maps
-Scarabs
-Harvest Juice
-Alva temples w/ Locus of Corruption

Something to keep in mind is the investment cost. All of these are profitable, but some will cost you more upfront to get started. Harvest has a few ways to run it, but the harvest scarab that doubles your harvest juice is used in all of the good ones and is fairly expensive right now (3-4 for 1 divine). If you dont have any startup currency, farming maps would probably be a good starter right now.

If you don't want to deal with the trade economy, you can also do Expedition, as Tujen will provide a good amount of direct currency.

After you pick a strategy, you need to get your atlas passive tree squared away. You can find lots of examples of these on Youtube or various websites.

Make sure to run a test map or 2 before buying supplies to ensure the strategy you picked isnt too difficult. But after you have confirmed you can run the maps, you want to gather a batch of supplies.

On a low budget, I would go for 20-40 maps worth. Get the maps, scarabs, and enough chaos to use the map device craft. Prep your maps with chisels, alchs, etc. Get all of that into a stash tab so its all in one place and you arent shuffling thru your stash every map.

Run the set of maps. Use Faustus/trade site to sell the loots. Repeat.

POE1, is kitava in POE 2 ?

So it's pretty much a grind, I kinda though about being late in league would be a reason why my stuff doesn't sell. Okay I got a couple of follow up Qs:

- Do harvest and expedition quests appear randomly on map or is there a certain way to come across them ?

- For picking up items, how can I determine the value of it ? I know an item is good if it has Resist/life for armor and attack/spell dmg for weapon but I find players tell me they're worthless. For example I had this boot that had tier 1-3 mods. It had resist, energy shield and ,if I rmmbr correctly, life... I was told it's useless haha. This is the effect of late league I assume ?
