Giants Blood bugged or is it just like that?

Is Giant Blood bugged? I want to use 2 two-handed weapons, but my attack is lower than using just one two-handed weapon and a shield.
I was excited to use 2 weapons, but got frustrated with this low attack.

I also noticed this. At the time I got giant's blood, I didn't have any unique modifiers to 1h or 2h attacks in my skill tree so there shouldn't have been anything funky in that space.

I'm hoping it's bugged and is something they're looking to fix, because it seems bizarre that it actively lowers DPS.

Not sure what the point of it would be if you get less damage. The whole point should be - require 3x stats, but then give you 2-3 times the damage.
