Crashing/Unplayable game
Since release have been getting nonstop crashes, that have only been getting progressively worse. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times, moving it from ssd to hard drive, and nothing seems to work.
PC Specs Windows 10 intel i9-14900k 3080 super 32gb ddr5 I rarely get an error message, 99% of the time my game freezes for a second or two and just closes with no indication of what is actually going wrong. People all over the place are complaining about aspects of the game because they are too hard, meanwhile a good chunk of us are having issues that we cannot even fix because it is through the game. I get that it is early access and there are going to be some problems, but it would be nice if we could get some updates on the progress of actually making the game playable for a large portion of players. Any answers on this matter would be greatly appreciated! Last bumped on Dec 18, 2024, 6:56:10 AM

This update has made it unironically even worse, as now the game crashes almost instantly after loading into the game. Can someone say anything about what is going on.

I have 2 friends that are experiencing the same issue. Random crashes at random intervals with no error message. Swapping renderers doesn't do anything for them either.

I just updated myself and I can't even load the game once I select a character.
it goes straight into a total freeze and lock up that forces me to reset the whole PC. Last edited by subjugatorxxx#1659 on Dec 17, 2024, 8:53:45 PM

Game continually freezes and crashes when zoning. If I don't go into task manager and change the affinity to not use all cores, it will lock the entire computer. Sometimes it crashes loading the character screen.
This latest patch makes it much worse. AMD Ryzen 7, 7700 NVIDIA RTX 4080 32G DDR 5 I have tried different video settings. Turning off multithreading seems to allow zoning, but the game runs very poorly. Last edited by Armathius#2088 on Dec 17, 2024, 9:43:16 PM

Bumping this.
Crashes and Freeze has become way worse since the update. I think it takes about 2-3 loading screens before it happens now. The prior patch was better in this regard. |

poe has a logfile in your user profile's poe/logs folder called client.txt.
maybe it contains some hint. if you use nvidia drivers just follow their advise to deactivate the ki tech they shipped with it, it's proven to massively drag down your system performance. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
