Ascendancy trials suck and so does having 1 portal per map
Also sharing honour hit with your party members suck too. I am trying to play with my 3 other friends, and both the single portal for maps, and trials are just so freaking frustrating for party play. You guys clearly haven't tested these enough, it is so obvious. We're going into a map and when a friend of mine dies, it's just so anti-climactic. When you're trying to integrate souls-like design choices for your game, this is not the way you go about it. Just give us a big boss or Izaro where we can continuously try to kill it and in turn ascend. I don't wanna fight million traps and minions draining my honour little by little. I want to learn the boss mechanics and in turn get rewarded for it.
TL;DR: Ascendancy trials suck (both the ultimatum and sanctum), and so does having one portal for your maps. These two points alone made me stop playing the game until they fix it. Campaign is cool though. Last bumped on Dec 17, 2024, 8:57:00 PM

Gotta chime in and support the single portal thing.
I got to my 3rd map this morning when i actually died and discovered you lose the map if you die.........what the hell kind of penalty is that to put in? Who thinks of these mechanics? I'm really glad i didn't put any juicing into it. I'd probably be pretty pissed. That needs a change man. |

Group play is frustrating.
Constantly running into your own party members. Maps full of tight spaces with only makes the first issue even worse. Party members filling the screen with skill effects making it difficult to see. These things are bad enough on their own, but combined and then placed over top of the single death per map instance and the overall feeling of group mapping is just abysmal at times. |

1 death per map is probably the worst single change moving from poe1 to poe2. if it stays like this ill play other games on launch.

I'm ok with losing having one shot to clear a map in that you'd still lose the waystone, exp, loot.
It hurts badly to travel 6-8+ nodes to get to the boss node you were traveling to, and die to a corpse explosion before even getting to the boss...having said boss vanish lol. Worse even when you find a rare cluster and goof it up. I found Doryiani in a vaal temple cluster and it was probably my fault for doing a T16 there, but after doing the fight perfectly and getting him to 10% he hit me with one stray lightning bolt and one shot me. Lord knows when I'll come across that map again, it's been 120+ since and it's still mostly just mountains or swamps. Take my waystones, take my exp, take my loot...leave the Boss and only the boss. the trials for ascension is still garbage, nobody wants to do that crap to get their ascendancy. I just tried for the 3rd set of points and get to the last boss room on the 3rd floor and just get shot at from everywhere on the screen 4,000 honor to zero real quick. I hated sanctum in POE1 but this is a whole different level of frustration
