lost Spirit giving item

i killed the boss in Freythorn in cruel difficulty, he droped the green spirit Item, but then i died to one of his mushrooms. Its seems like i bricked my char with this, i tried to join after reseted map. but the green item doesnt drop anymore. what can i do

If I recall directly the next time you kill the boss in maps he will drop the item for you.
