WTB: Oaksworn Sigil Crest Shield
I'm on Xbox, first... have spent the entire night attempting to buy the Oaksworn Sigil Crest Shield (Level 7 Unique) using the trade website, sending messages to 100+ players, and to no avail. I have tried buying one just going through in-game trade chat. Nada.
I even put in the time to try utilizing the Xbox browser system on the actual console... still, no responses at all. This item has thousands of entries on trade, and a LOT of them for only 1 EX. Even with good rolls, too. But, it IS a niche item and very low level. Since GGG doesn't seem to think having in-game trade markets is a good idea anymore, that leaves me coming here or trying to farm the item. I've tried farming, but as just a level 7 item, nothing special about it, just means to farm any boss or gold chest area that is level 7 or higher (IE. the majority of the game, with very low chances of getting specifically that item). That leaves doing stuff like asking here. Any of you have an Oaksworn Sigil Crest Shield for sale/trade? Last bumped on Dec 18, 2024, 10:45:23 PM

" Ok, but really, how much? They go for ONE exalted. And with pretty solid rolls, too. If you're in any way serious, then it just adds to the problem, that GGG has, inadvertently, created a POE where PC players are infinitely more well-taken care of, and that console players are basically the lowest 'caste'. I'm certain this was not their intention, but the mindset that HAD to have been there for them to make certain decisions? Had to be from a concretely 'PC' viewpoint. Sure, they thought, "What would console players like?", but had that thought from the "PC way of thinking", because ZERO console players would have come up with some of these things (the trade site being one of those things). There is exactly zero chance that a console player (not just a PC player happening to play on console) thought, "Oh, they can just hop on their phone and access the site" or "Yeah, console players have no issues using the console-based browser". No chance at all. First, NO, we don't all have phones, that is a modern propaganda push that developers seem to be all-in for pushing, but reality is that a LOT of people don't have them, so they shouldn't ever be required to have them in a non-mobile game. Second, console players don't have keyboards, like 99.9% of them don't. So, using the console browser is slow as can be, and CLUNKY! Further, using that browser very often kills our game, kicks us out of it. How do we send whispers for an item when we aren't even logged in anymore? Sure, if we get to the site fast enough, search for exactly what we want fast enough, etc... but, go re-read the last bit: SLOW AND CLUNKY. We aren't doing anything even remotely fast enough. Console gamers NEED an in-game market. This isn't negotiable, honestly. They may as well have made console a mandatory SSF style, but modified so we can trade in-person with our friend's list, or through guild stash. Because the trade chat isn't even listening. The symbol beside our name in the chat is basically a "mark of the pariah". For this game to have any chance of long-term use on console? They need to get that in-game market FAST. |

Yes i would sell it for 150 wihin 5 minutes.
And i agree, the Website trading version is pulling the games quality down by a ton Trading should be available (preferably only) ingame. Not through a 'third party' Website. |

I'd even be ok with an app on my phone, because apps are made specifically with mobile devices in mind. The website feels like it just is not meant to be used with anything other than a PC, maybe a tablet.
Until then, though, I just want to get my shield. I've tried the trade site, tried trade chat, tried farming it... nada. So, if you happen to have one, and have a serious price, then cool. Otherwise, oh well. And, when I am seeing a constant supply of them on the site for 1 EX? Nah, not gonna pay more than that. It isn't my fault the way they have it right now sucks for console players. |

That shield is a bit more expensive (around 3-5ex).
The reason you see a lot of 1ex trades is because ppl put the shield into 1ex bulk priced tab and the site picks it up at that price, then when the seller changes the price to correct one it takes 5-10 min to update on site. Look for trades posted for 10+ minutes, they have a lot more chance to respond and trade. Also, price fixers are a menace, they put items ad super low price so someone else puts that item at low price too, so the fixers can insta buy it and sell at higher price. My advice is to just check 20-30 first items and see the avg price and then look for something with that price. I also had this problem and when i did that i got my items in 5 min after more thatn half an hour trying the lowest price trades. Last edited by TerraSlayer#6988 on Dec 18, 2024, 9:21:54 PM

" Yes, I am literate. I also know how to not be a butt to my fellow players the first time I deal with them. If THEY act like you, however, then never again for that person until they apologize for acting that way. |
