T7/T8 waystone drop rate has to be wrong

(Yes, my atlas tree has the "drop waytone at higher level" and "higher chance for waystones to drop")

I was doing better than replacement level all the way through T6 maps. Then, suddenly the majority (>60%) of my waystone drops are 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's. Not only have I gotten only one T8 map in the 6 I have done, I have also only gotten one T9 waystone. I am not even close to replacement levels.

Anyone else having this issue? Or am I suddenly *very* unlucky?

This is anecdotal, but after getting some decent rarity increase on my gear and equipping a golden charm I seem to have more higher tier waystone drops. It's possible that increase to rarity of items not only increases the chance of magic/rare waystones, but also makes higher tier waystones drop more often.

I agree. I am up to the T7 waystone quest and currently have nothing higher than a T4 to run.

it sounds stupid to mention it, because it shouldnt be the way to go, but on the atlas passive you can get up to 36% or so quant for waystones, and all that quant should be the first you spec into on the atlas, basicly open atlas and then straight up to the right and bottom mid is where all the magic is at
