Skill points - Requirements not met (ranger)
I have came to a roadblock when I came upon “requirements not met” , read some suggestions online and here to refund my skill points but as I did the requirements not met kept showing up. I refunded my skill points , removed my skill gems , removed my gears just to see if I can rectify some issues. Now I’m a standstill , can’t equip or socket anything at all. The toon is basically back to 1 basic skill… bow shot . Anyone with answers please kindly help …. I’m already level 46 I dont want to start another character again….

"Requirements not met" for an item or skill means that you lack either enough strength, dexterity or intelligence to use the item. If you then start respeccing skill points on the tree, chances are that you refund some of those attributes (STR, DEX, INT) which then makes even your current gear unusable.
Unless you have enough gold to respec your skill tree again, it would be very difficult to continue. You would need to find gear to match whatever attributes that you have now, and the same with skill gems. You may be able to find items on trade if you didn't save any along the way. 😹😹😹😹😹

Are you on PoE 1 or 2? As xjjanie mentioned, this is an attribute limitation. You probably upgraded a gem to a level you don't have the attributes to use. This means the gear it is equipped in gets disabled since the gear now requires the new attribute level. You can vendor the gem with a scouring orb to reduce it's level by 1. This will revert your required attributes to what they were when you could use the skill.
You are also required to have enough attributes before equipping gear to equip the it, but you only need enough attributes after equipping it to use it. For example, if you need +20 dexterity to use a helmet and the helmet has +20 dexterity on it, then you could temporarily spec into a +30 dex node in order to equip the helmet, and then unspec out of the +30 node since the helmet itself grants you enough dexterity to use it. If you are in PoE 2, any attributes on gear should count for the purpose of equipping it, and you can ignore this entire nonsense process. By refunding all your skill points you refunded all the points giving you attributes, making the problem worse. Gear and gems all state what the attribute requirements are, and create your build around meeting or reducing those requirements. |
