Regarding resist search on the trade site

I'm not sure if I am missing something obvious but on the PoE 1 trade site you can search for total resists. So if you put total resist as 80 is will shows you an item with for example, 30 fire, 30 lightning and 20 cold resist.

I cant for the life of me figure out how to do this on the PoE 2 trade site. I can only search for specific resists.

Thanks.

No pseudo search yet, its pretty awful. Someone said there's a way to jerry rig it to work but it requires using conditionals and I haven't bothered.

You can use this link and i will explain below.
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/search/poe2/Standard/nmGDW9vi0

Make sure you set the filter on the top left to the type of item you want. Example being ring, amulet, body, etc. And always when searching under misc for corrupted use "Any".

This method is for rings and amulets

The implicit for = to all elemental resistance(max roll of 16)

If you want other mods as mandatory add them at the top like normal, to ensure the choices show up properly. If the results show none, you can slowly take the numbers down on the roll at this top part or even uncheck the box all together to see if there are some. In rare instances you may be searching accidentally for quadruple of a suffix or prefix and the result will show up nothihng. Unchecking can fix this.

Add another condition and set the count to 1 again. You can do this at the top of the link, only if you only want res. Add the resistance types you need, all of them(if you need three total set this count to 2). You must note if you hit a implicit that has to all ele res. You will subtract the max roll from these lines.
Even if you need two resistance types here the count must be set to 1 or you can overlook some that work and overpay by lots.

In this box you can set values but make sure you subtract the max roll for each of the implicits. So if you need fire of 47 you will always subtract 16 from it. Because of the to all that can roll 16. You do not subtract the max for the other implicits only max of the to all in case there is a perfect one out there.

Ill also post a link for the basic setup.

This will work but understand the rings and amulets may or may not hit exactly on the resists, but some will. Its the easiest way I have found and its worth sharing. Some items you will see are overpriced by 50 ex and more to trick people who aren't willing to take a little time to understand. You need to learn how to use the count feauture to be a Successful trader that doesn't overpay.

Every day the League gets older these searches will hit more stuff. Be patient if it's not there yet, somethings aren't available yet.

Your welcome. Three things I didn't say that are valid to your post.

1) The Website generally gets the trade QoL features we need very slowly. Not sure why but it has always been the case.

2) Until the economy matures you can see there are some very bad items that aren't even near max rolls for very outrageous prices. If you find yourself getting priced out of the market for whatever reason. Leveling a second character can be very beneficial as people figure out what trades are actually valuable. This lets the items start to Flood and stop trading. This naturally creates more competition in the market so prices fall.
An Example of this can be +2 All Spell Skill, 40%+ rarity and ES of 200+ on a focus. +3 is the max roll here and they are straight up better and everyone who plays spells knows it.

3)This is EA and many nerfs balancing will happen. Things like Freeze, Electrocute has already been nerfed into the ground. Heck we even got huge nerfs to chaos damage because of the outcry and I bet that those players didn't have Chaos Res capped. Its a nice QoL feauture, but for those of us who know how resists work, the nerf has ruined our items. The resists are set so low now you don't even need good resists on gear to cap. SO things like 50% quality breach rings are way out of balance now.

It's funny how every player gets the movespeed penalty applied. I rolled a couple characters yesterday just to look at things. Go look at rangers first 6 nodes and you will see unbalance at it's finest.

TLDR: This is EA and don't buy expensive items as they continue to buff/nerf things for the babies. Resist totally proves the point. They already said breach rings would be most powerful but now there is no reason to get a Breach ring with resist as the enhancement. Want more proof look at rangers first six nodes and see how much movespeed bonus they get. What are they doing here?

With the new resist buff to players by that outrageous amount, breach rings should be lowered to 20% quality IMO or you wont need much more than rings to cap res.

Easiest way I've found is to use the "weighted" setting, put all 3 res in, leave them blank and set the resist total you want in the weighted min value. This will find all items that have a total res adding up to your min value.
