[PoE2] Cannot upgrade gems while using 'Jarngreipr' gloves to override their requirements.
Bug Reference Number: 2.824.941.948
While using the 'Jarngreipr' gloves to override gem requirements, the gemcutting interface will not let you upgrade your equipped gems. It will claim that you cannot upgrade them because you do not meet their requirements, even if Jarngreipr allows you to equip and use them just fine by cutting an entirely new gem. You can cut new gems no problem, but cannot upgrade existing gems that you are currently using. Ignoring the interface's warnings and trying to upgrade regardless just cuts a new gem. This is very frustrating, as it means you need to wait until you have your endgame-level gems before you use Jeweller's Orbs or Gemcutter's Prisms on them. To be extra specific, I experienced this bug on a mercenary, wielding a quarterstaff and using quarterstaff skills. I tried both with and without the gemcutting warning options turned on, same result. It was the same across all skills I attempted to upgrade. I am playing using a controller, but have also tried switching to keyboard controls to see if that would help. Side-note: While using these gloves to override stat requirements for gems and weapons, the game will also constantly tell you that you are missing stats with a big red exclamation mark by the skills window if you're using a controller. Correct. I came across the same bug. While engraving a gem it just create a new skill gem instead of leveling the one aleady socketed.
Really frustrating because of the reasons already mentioned. You would need to use new jewellers every time you upgrade to a new gem level if you want 3 or more supports on the skill making the gloves virtually unusable for early mid game up until the very endgame when you dont need to level the gem any longer. |
