Ascend Path
I remember playing Might an Magic 6 an 7 an they had a enjoyable experience ascend of each class. You had to do a different quest for each Promotion in the class. You started out as Sorcerer then did quest to become a wizard then a Lich after final quest . I liked this system of progressing.
I like when I heard we did not have to do labs to ascend. Though later was very disappointed that it was instead two of the worst mechanics from Poe. The only enjoyable sanctuary was the band { Nevermore} It is very punishing if you play a Melee char. I feel that the trial is way to long to just fail on crazy gauntlet on the second floor. I think the mechanic is over tuned. I never enjoyed pitfall an still don't enjoy trap mechanic. The Trial of Chaos is even worse. Ultimate is such a very bad system. So many bad choices an felt way to many mobs second time around. I think is could work though needs adjusted for being over tuned. I know it early in the game though was hoping Poe2 would come with a better ascend then what we are forced into. You loss so much survivabilty either in damage or defense by not having all 8 points.
