My friends in Ping goes to the 10s of thousands. Help
Hey before anyone gives suggestions, we have tried everything conceivable. We have reloaded his instances to new, we switched to different servers, we have tried WIFI verses ethernet, we even messed around in server ports and created and deleted rules in windows defender. I am out of ideas. Nothing works for his issue. His exact issue is that is ping is highly volatile, constantly, while playing POE2. It starts at a stable 32ms and then I have seen it swing to 32000ms then plummet back down and I have seen it hit every number in-between. He'll go good for about 1 minute or less and then freeze up for about 10-15 seconds and then slingshot back into reality in a sped up mess. Everywhere I look says, "Oh its POEs servers, its from the amount of people, it will stabilize eventually." But this has been a consistent, never-ending problem since Day 1 of launch, it has never gotten better, at all.
I write this because my friend loves this game that I showed him, the game that I gave him the key for, and he cant play it. To be honest I don't know how he keeps going. He teleports constantly and freezes constantly. And I cannot express how much I mean by constantly. All I want is an answer. Is it really just his luck against the server? If so, why him and why is it so horrendous? Is it some bs setting in windows or the registry? I just need answers. Why is his ping so so bad. Also wanted to add, this is in POE2 only. All games he owns run lightning fast with high fps. No issues. All drivers are up-to-date and windows is of course updated as well. This leaves me to assume this issue is POE2s. But its been almost 2 weeks and no one else seems to have this issue. Is he alone? Is there a fix? If a dev happens to see this or someone who reads this knows a dev, my friends name is "Raynehaven" in game. Please look at his specific connection to either the Texas or California server, as those are the two he bounces between to try and mitigate the issue. You should be able to see what I am talking about. Thank you for your time. Last bumped on Dec 16, 2024, 3:29:55 PM
