Controller Issues

While trying my third ascendancy, I needed to go and look after my child. My controller went idle, and I was moved to the sign-in screen. When I logged in again, I was outside the trial. I bought another Key, placed it into my device, opened the door, dropped the controller, lost power, and was back on the title screen again. When I logged back in, I was outside the trial, and another key was gone.

This could seem extremely frustrating for console players in high-investment areas and this means it is impossible to change batteries inside a trial as it would be an instant fail.

When controller goes idle or you have to change batteries, the game brings up the typical connect controller warning. The bad thing is that it completely disconnects your session, even if you quickly replace batteries or power back on controller.

This is an unfortunate behavior for Xbox users. It would be ideal to extend the session disconnect.

I have a similar issue in that I was in a map and my controller died so I switched to a different controller that was charged and connected it, however the game had disconnected me from my map and logged me out, when I logged in again the remaining map portals were still open but I had lost the one I was already using, this is very frustrating, why does it not just continue when the controller is connected?

My biggest grief about this issue has been during chaos runs.
I believe one of my controllers has been given me issues and just likes to randomly disconnect. I cannot make it through a chaos run without it happening and when it does it boots you outside. It eats the "inscribed ultimatum: and ultimately seams to consider you died in the trial and cannot re-enter on the same "inscribed ultimatum" and need to use a new one.
I have since switched controllers and if i am going to do chaos run i make sure to have full batteries and it seams to more or less resolve this issue but its still annoying if you get near the end and you for some reason disconnect.
