Unable to proceed in Jiquani's Machinarium

I am stuck in Jiquani's Machinarium. As of today, I am unable to proceed into Sanctum after finding all the small cores. All the small cores have been placed in all the altars, including the door where the passage to Sanctum is supposed to be and all the doors have been opened. The main boss is defeated too. I won't be able to progress in the game because of this issue. Alva's objective still says I need to place cores at the altars. I have tried leaving the area and dying to reset the map and the portal to progress to Sanctum does not appear.
