I have never encountered any Verisium deposits

I keep the full-screen map turned on almost all the time to be able to see everything that might show up. The other minerals show up just fine on the map and in play. Early on, I made sure that I could mine it in town, just to be sure that wasn't a factor, and it didn't help. I have run several characters to near the end of Act 10 and I still haven't seen Verisium deposits across any of them. I've read that it's extremely rare, but I must be missing something.

You probably won`t see it in the campaign. Finish the campaign and get into maps. Probably you won`t see any deposits in low tier maps also. Yellow and Red maps have it more often, but even so, it's much rarer than the other ores.

You have to unlock it buy upgrading Prospecting to 6 in Kingsmarch. It also might be gated behind map tier; I'm not sure.

That would be a concern but I went to level 6 in mining on the first or possibly second character.

I thought about that too, but I couldn't find anything that said Verisium was post-game/maps only, and it seems like others have found it prior to that. Maybe it's post-game/maps only and it's just not stated clearly.
