I've been looking through several threads over the past few days and I think I've found the reason why consoles aren't trading.
The accounts that are currently being traded on consoles are most likely accounts that were created when they started playing poe2. Their accounts were not split and since they were created when they started playing poe2, they only get one account with one setting. They are probably able to trade.
However, long-time loyal customers who enjoyed poe1 ended up with a split poe1/poe2 account id due to an error in the data server transfer to poe2, and it seems that ggg missed this process and we can't trade.
If this is true, I hope ggg fixes it quickly. What sets ggg apart from other games is its quick communication and problem recognition.

I can trade and receive trade requests from PC players through the website. It’s possible the issue only affects a portion of players and isn’t very obvious.

I've had this problem since launch. So i made a new fresh account, its as if my poe1 account is on a different server as the new fresh account can see and interact with global/trade.
