THE REASON you see a lot of complaints

You know, the thing where you are doing AWESOME and do not understand at all when someone else is giving a valid complaint.

YES! THAT THING.

I was doing fine with my necro. I knew I wanted Arsonist from the get go, because I had previous knowledge from POE1 and knew it was good. While playing it, SRS sounded like the natural next step so I went for it... I had no intention on looking up a guide and saw Kripps review. So that steered me into STR stacking. ALL GOOD. No, all great. Everything was great and I reached A3 in no time.

Then I got bored...

Decided to roll a mercenary.

HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS CHRIST!! OH MY GOD IT'S SO BAD!

Chat was saying: "Buy this unique helmet + gas + fire = OP MODE"

Meanwhile, my cold centered merc was doing TERRIBLE. WORST than terrible. I died constantly. Monsters started to need multiple hits to die. It was TRASH. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3638944

Then I realized. We don't have build diversity. There are some skills that work. Some don't.

Probably uninstalling after this. I've seen enough. I think.

Balance is in a rough spot atm for skills, some are not doing great right now. This definitely hurts build diversity, but I'd assume we're gonna see some shifts in that as time goes by. THere hasn't been any real major patches at this point, just hotfixes. Not saying that to excuse it, but more to say that they're gonna probably adjust skills once they actually get the data and feedback.

This game is out in EA for about a week....of course this game is not balanced yet. If you don`t want the early access feeling wait 6-12 months for the full release.

Half the player base responds to complaints with "everything's fine. You're just a whiner."

It's absolutely infuriating. I have close to a thousand hours in Path of Exile 1 so I have a pretty good idea how to build a character. It took me 60 hours to get through act 3 normal and I got so much fucking condescension saying that I'm just bad at the game.

Nope. It's because I tried to figure out my own build and it wasn't the cookie cutter bullshit the devs are forcing on us. That's it. I actually tried to experiment like you're supposed to during a fucking beta, and when I offered feedback on it I was buried with insults.

You know what that doesn't do? It doesn't make me want to fucking keep testing.

The mod team seriously needs to crack down on the condescension and elitism, because it is driving away the people who actually provide useful feedback.

It is about how people are voicing their feedback.

Yes POE2 has issues, nobody would deny that....and GGG needs our feedback what to change. But much of the users who think they are bringing up constructive feedback don't do it in a way I would listen too. Like OP here, who is closing his argument with "Probably uninstalling after this. I've seen enough.". Also many others who say this game is bad or sth.
Some are bringing up their "feedback" in a form which sounds like they expected a perfectly balanced and polished game which was obvious from the start. (And it was even more polished than other full game releases^^)

Indeed, and what's up with giving up so easily ?
I recently soft-respecced my Mercenary from lightning to cold (not taking cold nodes, just removed some grenade nodes, I want to try all the skills first before committing) for the mid-end of Act 3 (all those weak to cold side bosses, and Djinn trials boss as well), and while it was a bit rough at first, I've now found a combination that works much better.
And I'm still mostly running magic find gear !

Also, regular monsters not dying to single hits seems to be just what PoE2 is, same experience in Act 1 coop with warrior + ranger.

WOW, now we are already complaining about build diversity in an Early Access. We as humans are really doomed.

I know that my comment falls under the condescension category. But honestly, if the initial "argument" is not based in reality or not following a rational thought, how else should one respond? Any rational response would not be understood anyway.
