Resetting D12/VK caches can immensely help performance
PSA/FYI deleting caches can greatly improve your FPS. I guess due to many changes and updates the caches tend to brick and become buggy. Deleting DX12 cache removed stutters and reset my FPS from around 70-80 back to 180.
OS: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS x86_64 CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X (32) @ 3.500GH GPU: AMD ATI Radeon RX 6800/6800 XT / Steam Proton Experimental DX12 - small note here, apparently results are still better using DX12 ingame and letting Proton translate it via DXVK then choosing native VK ingame. Guess the optimizations are not there yet. Last edited by Disruptor#2040 on Dec 15, 2024, 4:46:08 PM Last bumped on Jan 8, 2025, 5:01:32 PM

I have to do this every time I open the game, otherwise it will crash after selecting character and clicking play.
Looking for a way always reset cache when the game opens. Or not persist cache at all. Wouldn't you know of any way to do this? |

" On Linux, you can add commands via launch options in Steam. This seems to work for me:

" I5-10600K Nvidia RTX 2060 12 GB Already changed to vulkan, dx11, settings low/medium/high, disabled nvidia reflex, deleted all cache folder and temporary files and up to date everything. Nothing change. You are lucky but a lot of people doesn't have same luck that you have. They need to improve performance, also on consoles. Last edited by Babonzo#0016 on Jan 8, 2025, 12:25:53 PM

" I said it in another post, that on console the performance stress is unbearable. The responses were "get more storage space, is dirty cheap" and "on a high end PC"... I don't expect others to understand how this game can go from a Formula 1 to a home depot cart very fast on the console. Any situation that spawns mobs is a nightmare to deal with... - Hourglass room - Time survival on Chaos Trial - Ritual - Breach - Strongbox Avoiding playing those situations in game to not hurt my console integrity.
