Ban IP Mistake

I happily bought the game on Steam and spent more than 60 hours playing it so that when I log in I see the beautiful news that my IP is banned from the game, I haven't had any contact with other players apart from my friends who use new characters to help me get through phase and I didn't even talk to anyone in chat. It doesn't make any sense that I got banned for anything other than playing the game! Completely frustrated with this and I don't use any external programs in the game.
