Controlling two characters with the same controller

I found a bug that allows controlling two characters with the same controller while trying to connect a controller to the Path of Exile 2 standalone client.

Only after successfully connecting my controller to test the controller gameplay, did I realize that in theory this would allow leveling a second character with a much stronger main character. I refrained from testing further, so this assumption might turn out to be wrong.

I'm happy to provide details but won't do so in this post since I don't want people to possibly abuse this bug.
