2nd passive tree interaction with delayed damage in weapon switch
Say I play as mercenary and have invested in 2 trees:
Tree 1: focus on grenade damage Tree 2: focus on bolt damage Now I bind skills on two different weapons, which corresponding to tree 1 and 2 Weapon 1 (Tree 1): link to gas grenade Weapon 2 (Tree 2): link to explosive shot In action I throw the grenades using Weapon 1 and switch to Weapon 2 to fire explosive shot for detonation. So what will be the situation: Does the gas grenade take all the benefits from Tree 1 (grenade focused) because it has been thrown out? Or, Does the gas grenade loses all the damage traits from Tree 1 because I have switched to Tree 2 for bolt detonation? I guess it all comes down to when the damage multipliers are being allocated for calculation? Last edited by kabutomj#6504 on Dec 14, 2024, 9:11:28 PM Last bumped on Dec 19, 2024, 6:18:36 AM

Based on how weapon stats are remembered I'd guess your Passive Skills are also remembered.
I'm using Lightning Rod with Weapon Set I and Lightning Arrow with a Quill Rain Bow to proc it fast in Weapon Set II. Quill Rain has very low damage, something like 7-9, but Lightning Rod's bursts still deal damage as if I had my Bow in Weapon Set I equipped. So I think for delayed Skills the only thing that matters are your stats in the moment of using the Skill, but this is only a guess. Might be worthwhile to test this in more detail, maybe with summon skills it is easier to see. |
