Essence fight bug

In the Valley of the Titans I came across a frozen essence fight, best I can tell it spawned one of the goliath skeletons as the rare except it was dead already. In theory I could've found a guy to revive it and drug them over but I accidentally cast Unearth and removed the body leaving no way to get the essence.

EDIT: can confirm that luring a Lich over to revive them does work. Can't confirm if reanimated boss properly drops loot as it OHKed me out of nowhere.

similar situation for me:
giant skeletons as essence mobs in Valley of Titans
(possibly relevant) I cast Orb of Storms in preparation for third click
third click to activate, nothing happens. The skeletons remained as corpses; collision boxes still there.

immediately after, a new but similar bug!

Walking Goliaths as essence mob
Desiccated Lich reanimated one of the Goliaths before the fight was activated; Goliath does not act, but cannot be harmed
activate essence fight; reanimated Goliath starts moving (and becomes vulnerable), but remaining Goliaths (including boss) don't animate, leaving corpses and collision boxes

note: did not use Orb of Storms this time
