Exalted Shards for Campaign

Would it be possible to add in a campaign currency like Exalted Shards that are only usable on gear up to 65 or so.

Something that will drop frequently but have no great value end game. I've done the campaign twice now (once pre currency buff and once post) and let me say getting 12 ex across the entire campaign just to use on leveling gear so you aren't getting crushed really takes the fun out things.

Most of the reason players complain about the difficulty is due to not being able to engage with crafting very much. An exalted Orb is the same at level 1 as it is at level 100, it doesn't care you need to burn it on leveling gear and you are punished for not saving them for when you do finish the campaign and start on maps.

If there was something we could burn early on that wouldn't impact the end game economy but still let us actually craft leveling gear it would go a long way to ease up on player complaints around difficulty (which is really just being stuck under geared) and speed up the whole campaign process in general which takes waaaaay to long.

I also believe most of the complains are mostly about not being able to get enough resistances in early to mid game. Gears with sockets are rare, currency to upgrade are almost as rare as them. At least I hold on to few I find for possible weapon upgrades. Tried a few on rings but results weren't desirable.

When I somehow find a possible armor upgrade, I can't bring myself to using a few regals and exalted orbs I have on those.

Also for some reason act 1 gives more currency than other acts. I'm not sure if things will change when I'm in cruel but looks like I'll be moving to there without any meaningful resistances.
