Skill atribute requirements too high?

I'm at Skill 10 level gems and without gear adding to my strenght I can't fully go into lvl 9 or 10 especially with support gems. Even though every atribute node is strenght for me.

Same with the curently highest level weapon in the shop, it's barely available.

I personally favor the restrictions so that the perfect gearing game isn't made easy.

However, all I will say is, I think the game should figure out a way to warm you into using different class skills/weapons via:
- Have a currency that adds "reduced x stat restrictions"
- NPC in game that can downgrade your support/skill gems if you are under the stat requirements to learn higher level abilities.
