The concept of trail design was bad

In POE1 both Ultimatum and Sanctum needs specfic build to hadle with, most of the regular builds are not capable to doing these two mechanics. So why in POE2 every classes need to pass these two mechanics (which designed for specific build)to get ascendancy points.
