One-shotted in Waypoint 3s (visual clarity issue)

Ok, before I begin, let me say that I actually enjoy the difficulty and the scaling seems just right for moving from 1-5 (what I've done so far). The trash scales well and overall, I'm digging it so far.

However, there are some mobs with affixes that kill me so fast that I don't even have time to react. The main issue here is that my screen is overloaded with minions and spell cast animations, so seeing these in time to react is VERY hard simply due to visual overload.

My question is... why? NOBODY likes one-shot mechanics, especially from random trash mobs, even if they are rare. If I am blasting through an area, comfortably able to get through it, why are we being 1 or 2-shotted in less than 0.25 seconds by anything?

GGG, not everyone playing this game is a teenager with lightning-fast reaction times. And even then, that fast of a kill from any mob seems overtuned by quite a bit. We can't even SEE it coming because you have overloaded our screens with chaos and very poor visual clarity for threats.

And don't even get me started on after-death effects...

Give us a break here, guys. This is a small tune that would help a lot. Most everything is solid so far from what I've seen in Atlas, but this is the kind of thing that just doesn't need to be in there. We shouldn't be glaring at our health pool for 99% of the dungeon just in case.
