Stun Warrior feels worse and worse - I think for a bad reason

I was playing with slams and bonershatter from the beginng (+Herald of Ash), was a fun playstyle, I primed the enemies for heavy stuns, finished them with boneshatter, packs explode with fire... Worked well.

Then I got my second acendency, respecced Titan to the crushing blows / more damage against heavy stunned, and everything felt much worse. Because of the automatic heavy stun, I could not use boneshatter anymore, clear speed went way down.

Then I respecced out of that again, paying half my gold for 4 ascendency points.. Now I picked up a lot of "increased stun buildup" in the tree, and I have the same problem again.... Enemies don´t get primed for stun from a rolling slam, they get stunned directly, I can´t use boneshatter, my clearspeed goes WAY down. I feel like I am being punished for heaving more stun buildup, which feels stupid with such a build?

If I now just hit mobs with mace strike, they get primed, I can use boneshatter and everything dies much faster than with rolling slam or perfect strike, which does not feel good at all...

Anyone else noticed this problem?

I had the exact same experience, even before they fixed boneshatter to connect more reliably. IMO you don't really have to take crushing blows if you don't want to; I actually ended up just dropping it completely because it felt superfluous in my build because I already run leap slam to deal with packs because it synergizes with resonating shield. I think the intended way for stun warriors to be played is to incorporate stacking armor breaking on enemies because that's certainly how it feels. Our builds seem quite similar but I went completely physical damage and other than the occasional irritating yellow with unfavorable mods I don't really suffer all that much. Are you primarily using a 2-hander or mace/shield?

Hi, so far I use only mace/shield, but would like to get the two handed mace as one-handed, once I have enough strenght...

One big difference is that I deal only fire damage, and the Warrior seems to have a quite many fire nodes it can take, and then armour breaking is completely useless I think, because that´s only against physical damage?

I just would like my boneshatter back, and feel like I could clear faster if I had less stun build-up, which is strange...
