Melees, Especially Monks, are Horrible in POE2. Too Much Floor AOE.

There's no real incentive to make a melee when the floor AOEs continuously kill you so you can't step in to do damage. Ogham Castle is really bad. No incentives to build a melee at this point. Casters are the choice.

In the game, we asked for Blockchance on weapons two, so meele Two Hander are viable. And they fixed this over the years.

Now i think they must start to think about another option

"When u use a meele related weapon, ur character get 25% Less Damage taken, from Ground effects"

or

"When u use a meele Skill Recently, u become invulnarable for 4 Sec against Ground effects"

or

"Meele weapon grant the Player 25% of damage taken from Ground effect recouped as life, over 6 Sec"


Or whatever.

I can feel your pain. I am Playing monk. But with Glacial Cascade and Poison. So i can stay mostly out of the fight. But when i zoom in for this Frostpunsh, to generate Power charges, i can feel the Ground effects are next level.
Really bad, when u must loot fast, ( When u die everything is gone ), and some Ground explosions happens after 2 sec delay...
I play a Monk, and I'm doing okay. Look into playing a cold Monk, I'm doing lots of damage. :)
I think I'm going to try Raxx's new monk build. Even he said monks were a pain in the beginning. You basically have to start them with a bow. We'll see how it goes with the floor AOE.
What the hell lol, thats definitely a skill issue. Dont play monk if u cant dodge floor stuff. Its tough sure but its definitely not a bug. Stop wasting their time posting these things when there are 183639 actual bugs
