PoE2 FIX THE DAMN PC FREEZE ALREADY!!!!!

RTX 4080 Super, R7 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 RAM

2 Complete PC freezes on loading screen in a span of 15 minutes today, the game is literally unplayable like this. I will not fuck up my PC with hard resets every day jut because your game is completely broken.

For 30 bucks I feel completely scammed, because you sold me a broken game which only fucks up my PC!

Beta bro. Take a breath.
In the meantime, here's a Powershell script I put together that can run any process with a custom core affinity. In this case, disabling core 0 and 1 by default. This ensures that when POE crashes it doesn't take the PC down with it.

Just edit lines 23 and 24 to point at both your executable file and the name as it appears in the task manager.

Seems to only be an issue in modern Windows systems, but hopefully this helps.

They gotta nerf stuff first bro, cmon now.

How the hell is this excuse to sell someone broken product which can damage his HW? Are you out of your mind to actually defend this?

Hmm so if I want the first option with the core 0 and 1 disabled, should I comment the line 35 also?

By default you don't have to comment anything else out - core 1 and 0 are the disabled cores without changing anything =]

I use this script as a launcher for a few titles, so the other option on line 37 is something I sometimes uncomment and use instead. Not needed here!

Ok will try it and see how it goes, thank you very much :)

This word is overused for situations where it doesn't apply. You weren't scammed because your specific PC is having an issue running the game. They didn't sell you a broken game, as the game is not universally broken or unplayable. Send a bug report.
wonder if a particular setting could cause that issue.

havent seen a crash yet on my side. the biggest problem i got is i notice a bit of frame skipping when someone joins the town i am in. i assume it's the loading of their mtxes and stuff.
