Hammer, Mace... I'm confused...

Sorry, I'm a big noob!
I'm playing path of exile 2, Act 2, I got this 2 handed mace and I'm doing good with it, then! I found another, the exact same model, but this one kicks harder, and has 2 sockets so I can upgrade it even more! but... when I try to use it I cant! then I notice in the name, its a Hammer!?! the exact same model!!! the only way I can use it is if I don't use any secondary set!! is so confusing! the sad part is that I just notice it after selling my mace! Why not grouping hammers and mace's in the same category? sharing the same skills! I meant, they're practically the same thing! Last bumped on Dec 13, 2024, 2:15:58 PM

Agreed - hammers should equal maces.

Arent hammers two handed while maces one handed? Im pretty sure they can use almost all the same skills.
