WASD Controls in PoE1

Now after seeing that is a clear advantage with wasd and dodge roll, it would be nice to also have it as an option in poe1 for incomming leagues. what do u think ?

Yes please. PoE1 isn't made with directional movement in mind so it wouldn't add much for gameplay, but it would add a ton of comfort, and familiarity for those switching between PoE2 and PoE1, as was GGG's stated intent in supporting both games.

EDIT: Just WASD, no dodge roll.

Would love to see WASD in PoE1, too. It would make playing both PoE1 and 2 so much easier and now I know how good WASD feels, I really miss it in PoE1.

Dodge roll would not fit into PoE1 I think.

wasd was implemented as an excuse so ggg could claim that joysticks theoretically had the same functionality as keyboard mouse.

but, using a keyboard/mouse i can't use my left thumb to wasd my char around and my right thumb to point to different directions while having all my other fingers free for buttons.

if my left hand has to wasd i can't really let that go to press buttons. and my mouse doesn't have 5 buttons for all the skills needed.

maybe i try it sometimes but theoretically i called that idea just bullshit when jonathan mentioned how easy it supposedly is

Hell no... wasd was a terribe idea to begin with. May be good for console players on controllers but on pc it was a blunder.

WASD is not possible in POE1 due to character models etc atm

yep, poe2 is a console game in the first place while poe mainly still is a pc game.

it would be nice if ggg could revert all the console changes on poe 1 now that console/joystick players have their own game
