Zalmarath, the Colossus

After defeating the boss last night, I can confidently say it was my least enjoyable encounter so far. Visually, the fight looked impressive, but that’s about where the positives end. I spent over 1.5 hours on this fight, and it wasn’t due to the difficulty—it’s because the whole encounter was a buggy mess. The ranged auto-aim made it incredibly frustrating, with abilities constantly missing. On several occasions, I got knocked off the arena and ended up stuck in limbo, forcing me to log out and back in. His one-shot slash would often glitch, showing no animation and just instantly killing me. I did manage to defeat him a few times, but each victory was followed by being thrown out of the arena, forcing me to start all over again. I can't be the only person experiencing this, right?

I would like to add insight to this boss fight as well w some screenshots (with some description bellow them) at the end:

Visual Bugs:
- when going close to the holes he does on the surface your character goes bellow ground (fact);

Visual Experience:
- as ranged you can choose to be at mid-lane or far-lane, but the far-lane prevents the player from actually seeing what the boss is doing. It gets worse because the boss life gauge takes a big important part of the screen. This is kinda bad cause well, I can fight guessing, but I can't see the beautiful experience the character is facing against, thus, the experience doesn't translate to the player's eyes (fact);

Animations:
- The boss attack animation is mostly constant through the fight, but sometimes he does a knife stab attack that feels way faster than needed to be (opinion);


You can see that there is way more dead space on the bottom side of the screen.


Again, the action source is on the top-left side of the screen, but the camera is centered on the character, making almost half of the screen useless.
I did ranged and besides the bugs, I didn't find the boss encounter as hard, I just kept baiting his knife from far, but the fight gets way harder with lower dmg being done to him.

I think having armor helps a lot to not get one-shotted by some knife ranged phys dmg, and evasion to prevent flask usage all the time.

I also think you must at least kill his minions w one or two arrows and have good resists against their attack.

Just found another Visual bug that made my character go above the boss when fire rocks were falling from the ceiling
That f*cker 1 shot my best hardcore char (monk/tank/curse) at level 27 i was looking at 900HP and 50% armor reduction (my best armor/HP gear).

Armor is a buggy joke stat
this boss is the only one i actually tremble when playing HC. Why? because hes a mess... he can bug-oneshot you and theres nothing one can do about it.

never happened to me, his blade never touches my character, neither his blade/rock projectiles.

I'd be scared to play warrior melee into him tho :o
Stop calling it a bug and just dodge. Its clearly a programmed 1 shot that people cannot comprehend.
I don't even know if Mark skill works on him cause I can't see the icon
