Monk Leveling, balance and "Boss Mechanics"

I want to emphasize that I think it is an incredible game and it is very well designed, it's just that every friction that the player has has to do with balance.

After leveling with Minions (my first character) and Spells (my second character Chronomancer Cast on Freeze), I uploaded a video to show how broken Monk is, in general, TLDR is too strong even with basic attacks, the scale damage in Attacks is absurd compared with minions and spells.

In addition

Stun and Freeze trivialize every fight so if you care about "Mechanics" this is something to keep in mind, so you can keep nerfing thing until no one wants to play anything anymore.

If the base line of the game is this, then I'll tell that this is the most fun part of the game, the other two character leveling process felt more like in the middle of frustration and not having fun at all, even with low dying count (less than 50 deaths).

Hope this help you in the future to decide how to balance the game, comfy early or just a terrible nightmare at level 1.

Maybe a better way to scale early damage for better experience through the campaign and then scale a bit less when reach maps. To me, with minions and spells, everything felt horrible.

final thoughts

Before starting the EA, I had planned to start making guides about the game and I was very excited, but after uploading 3 characters, I realized that Path of Exile 2 is not a game for me, the tree is not exciting, the gems either, the attributes are a disaster in terms of balance, there is a corral in terms of deciding skills, there is very little choice really, the bosses are the only thing that keeps me playing, I hope everything changes for the better.

Did you twink your monk tho? I played melee without hand me down gear and it definitely was not this kind of experience. Sure it was not too far off, and I could still demolish bosses, but not with this level of trivializing them.

This at best looks like getting a little lucky and dropping some really good gear. And if you start balancing around that... well then you get what the current trials are, a nightmare for anyone unprepared.
Well yes a bit, not like crazy gear or so, like staff of 2ex, and gloves 1ex, just gear with trade and look for flat damage in all your gear, zero defense.

There is a bunch of things around monk that trivialize everything, Bell is the biggest one and I think I can mix with lightning rod in someway. But my Bells was setup with full stun buildup, the other thing are heralds, crazy damage with just 1 amulet with 30 spirit.

But, and big BUT! I previously was leveling a Chronomancer with more gear, like crazy good gear, the top of market at her level, nothing near of this, even before nerfs.
