POE 2 Game stuck in an infinite loading screen (with workaround)

The title says it all, my game started getting into an infinite loading screen it happens every 2 to 3 zones
My game was working fine since launch until day 6. possible fix ? (worked for me) Before going into a new zone go to options and disable engine multithreading after loading enable it again. This is a workaround until they fix it, its annoying to do this every time but. until ggg fix it is all we got Last bumped on Apr 3, 2025, 10:15:51 PM

Same problem here, it only happened starting day 6, i had no problem entering a new map first time, it always happened when i tried to zone back in.
I tried to disable multithread after alt+f4 the endless loading screen, it didn't work, I'll try to make sure to disable multithread before changing every zone now to test it out. Last edited by Xywei#7018 on Dec 14, 2024, 12:44:34 AM

Here is what ftdavid did to fix the issue:
1. go to poe2_production_config.ini (for Windows it should be located under your_user_id/Document/path of exile 2) 2. change the login setting as below: [LOGIN] gateway_auto_select=true seen_intro=true gateway_id=false 3. need to modify that file everytime before restarting the game I added: 4. Change from the server you are playing (Canada East has been giving me issues - changing to Washington has eliminated the problem) ---- Before doing the above, I couldn't even play for 10 minutes without getting stuck in the loop. 1) what's the basis for gateway_id=false
2) Will write protecting the file help instead of saving it each time. While the snow remains,

" Jaxxy, are you still getting Infinite Loading screen??? ------------- To anyone reading this: there is another thread with some suggestions as well. One that was working for me for a bit was toggling off/on "Engine Multithreading" when entering areas. So turn it off before entering an area, then turn it on once in the area. It has not worked for everyone. When I forgot to turn it off before entering a load screen, I got stuck again in the loop.... Been happening to my game as well everytime i use portal and sometimes on the character log in

So far i changed the global c-state on my bios to disabled im not getting the issue since I changed that.

i cant even get the game to work let alone have long load screen, has there been any posts from ggg about these problems? im running on pc through steam
