Blood witch ascendancy is garbage

I thought I was going into a bleed build. This is ridiculous I beat a hard trial, to pick a blood witch. Just to come out weaker than when I finished the trial. Siphon life and shield just to have to run and pick it up is just dumb. No buff from ascension juat loss of life.and no way to go back. Worse reward I have ever gotten for beating a time taxing trial. I guess this build is dead...
